What I didn't care for is how the man was identified as a,"world War II veteran." His status as a veteran is admirable, but its not a "get out of jail free" card.Yeah, he should have been jailed for not having the procedure the center wanted him to. That's got to be a major felony. And the sooner they stop with that "greatest generation" crap and quit sucking up resources, the better off we'll all be, right?

So you think someone who served in the military should be treated differently than someone who hasn't? And if so, how do we ID the vets ... armbands with yellow stars?
And taking it another step further - should we treat veterans who have seen combat differently than those who were "in the rear with the gear?"
And speaking of that "greatest generation", they also gave us Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Vietnam. I spent 13 months in combat there ... didn't see a damned thing that was great.
