A few years ago,while in Singapore,I wanted to go south a few miles in order to stand on the equator.I never made,I got as far as a point in Indonesia that's about 75 miles north of it.

I’ve crossed the equator many times at sea but now that you mention it the closest ever I’ve been to it on land is Singapore.

It’s not always easy to do — a lot of the Equator is open sea.
