It hasnt been a great summer for football players from Florida.
A current linebacker for the Gators is the latest to find himself on the wrong side of the law.
His crime? Barking at a police dog.
While police were checking out a disturbance at an after-hours club, Antonio Morrison approached a police vehicle and made a woof-woof sound at a canine in the back seat according to the Orlando Sentinel.
That was enough to put him behind bars. Morrison was arrested and charged with interfering with police by harassing a police animal and resisting arrest without violence. He was released from the custody of the Alachua County jail this morning.
At a minimum, Morrison will be suspended for two games according to Florida coach Will Muschamp.
Im extremely disappointed in Antonio Morrisons decision making. He has been suspended from the team and will miss at least two games to begin the season.
He was previously arrested June 16 for allegedly hitting a bouncer at a night club.

Doggie ping!
Some Cops are Dogs,
But not all Dogs are Cops.
“Woof, Woof!”???
Absolutely stunning what will land you in jail these days.
They should have put him in a cage at animal control.
Impersonating a dog? That’s nowhere near as bad as what Michael Vick did.
It is my understanding that police dogs are considered fellow officers, so, yes, barking at one or disrespecting one can land you in jail.
He wasn’t barking at a dog, he was scoffing at Michele.
Roll Tide Roll
Only dogs can say “woof-woof.” It’s their word. People can’t say it. If they do, they are “dog racists.”
Lesson of the day: If you are going to bark at a dog, don’t make it a police dog.
WEll, you could tell a cop: “talk to my lawyer”, but to a police dog, you are faced with confrontation and grief no matter what through his dog.
I know of cops will use their dogs to commit things they could not do themselves.
IT’s total bs, and the dog work is the excuse.
Gator ping.

Before leaving America some ten years ago, I noticed that the good old boy policemen had morphed into jackbooted thugs.
DITTOS.
Good for this ne’erdowell the backseat canine occifer was not a trained SC Gamecock, lest a whole host of other charges be impregnated agin the chatty scofflaw.
“If they do, they are dog racists.
LOL!
Some LEOs take themselves way too seriously. How about a “knock it off” first? With all of the incidents of police shooting barking dogs and yet they cant tolerate a little stupidity? No wonder the public is becoming less and less cooperative.
Let me guess, this isn’t a First Amendment issue because not barking at police dogs will pass Strict Scrutiny?

He probably thought they were pigs.
