And 237 years later a segment of our population doesn’t know and doesn’t care about the meaning of that great document. The left has been successful in demonizing our founders as a bunch of “old white guys”.

I get a chuckle out of this now and then because it reminds me that the thing happened over a number of days. I love how Adams says "from one end of this continent to the other," though. Lewis and Clark were nearly thirty years away. Adams and Jefferson would both die on the 50th anniversary of the 4th of July signing.

Sadly, the leaders we have today have failed the last sentence of the Declaration, and jettisoned their sacred honor and the Constitution. For what? For accepting blackmail and/or bribes from Obama's Chicago Way.
