Dog Sale Goes Wrong - Man Charged With Assault

A dispute over a dog resulted in a man being charged with assault occasioning bodily harm when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
He is Donald Brown from a Kingston address.
According to Brown, the altercation began after the complainant breached a contract, which stated that he (the complainant) would pay him $35,000 for a 'top of the line' Rottweiler dog, but instead paid only $20,000.
The complainant revealed to the court that Brown, however, owed him $15,000 for rent and he deducted the money from the sale of the dog.
The complainant told the court that Brown was upset with this arrangement and grabbed him by his shirt and collared him, a tussle ensued and the police were called.
Brown was fined $10,000 or six months for the offence.

Oh, thank you! That is much more reasonable! I thought maybe the dog had gold and silver teeth or something. Ha! Now I feel stupid for not figuring this out in the first place.
