City bra ban doesn't hold up

Stripped of the bras that decorated the tavern's ceiling for nearly half a century, the Holler House looked mighty naked.
But on Thursday, justice was restored to the universe. A ridiculous city order to ban the bras as a fire hazard was rescinded.
"Oh my goodness, we won," cried Marcy Skowronski, the always colorful 87-year-old owner of the south side bar. "We're going to have a party to throw the bras back up."

Ald. Bob Donovan, who jumped in on Skowronski's side, said, "I'm no expert, but aren't bras flame resistant anyway? I know some of them are awfully hot."Funny.

Yup....fire inspectors can be little Nazis at times... Especially the new ones...
Long story made short...I had one come in one day into our warehouse and wanted me to put in an additional 20,000 worth of sprinklers into our racking system....we have a sprinklers already..... But she wanted us to drop down into every section of rack an additional head.... The reason still evades me...
We were in a warehouse complex were probably 75 % of the other businesses had similar racking set ups...I told her when every other warehouse in the complex complies come back and see me....
Fire Marshall come out to see what the problem was....and basically told me....she is a rookie and he will correct the inspection report...

I hope they wash them first.
I have been in places where bra’s are hung up, other places where baseball caps are hung up, after a while they get dirty, dusty and need cleaning.

"We've had bras hanging here for 45 years. It's been a charm of the place. So here comes this gal, and she's walking in here like Lady Astor's pet horse, you know, and she says she wants those bras down because they're a fire hazard. I was working a remodeling job on a night club and the inspector came in to check
the progress. The Inspector was a laid back guy, easy going type. The Manager thought he would
be smart and jokingly said "You guys don't take bribes anymore" and laughed. Well,
the club didn't open for another two weeks and cost them another 10k to make everything Perfect,
and I mean perfect in every way. The manager was fired, of course.
