“Children can be isolated in a classroom if they’ve lost their mom or are in a family without a dad or in a family with two moms or two dads,”

I understand they dropped the celebration of Father’s Day a long time ago in Harlem.

Funny how they call it “International Families Day” while being completely against the traditional family.

Like the annual dustups over Christmas, Easter, and Hallowe’en, this fluster is the result of families’ having outsourced what should have been their own social functions to the government schools.

They’re against nature. Thousands of years of evolution produced sexual reproduction, with a father and a mother. This is an indisputable fact.

Liberalism is against nature.

The schools in the hood will still celebrate Mutha’s Day. But remember that Mutha in the hood is half a word.

Obviously, the school staff aren't trained enough in including kids and sharing the joy. It's a teaching moment for all the others -- meaning the idiot adults.

Davey and Goliath tackled the whole Father & Son something tournament with a kid who didn't have a Dad. Even a 5-year-old could understand. Educrats, not so much. Unless they're spoon-feeding propaganda that no one believes.

as a young girl traumatized by the death of my father when I was 10, I was certainly glad that Fathers’ Day was after school let out.

I agree with those that do not see the need to institutionalize these celebrations. There are too many exceptions to the nuclear family, some having nothing to do with personal choices.

Perhaps, these education folks will someday, help children remember “Ass Kicker’s Day.” The day when all parents actually raise their children, along with the parentless- like they care, every day of the week/year.. I look forward to that day. I am a good father and grandfather, to those who have known me- one way or the other. My great grandmother raised 32 children during the bad times, when folks had to give their children over. That’s just the way it was in North Dakota. You just do the next right thing- no matter what. That’s living. No matter what.
