Same thing happened here after a bad tornado.

The cell phones did not work.

A couple of towers went offline due to the tornado itself, and the rest could not handle anything close to the volume of traffic.

So, as soon as we had an emergency, our emergency cell phones were useless.

It’s the second time I have had the uselessness of a cell phone demonstrated to me.

As soon as you really need to communicate, you can’t.

A CB radio still works fine, though.

Same thing happened after Katrina. Even if you could get a signal it did not mean your call would go through.
