Sandy Hook Parent Blasts Gun Control

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on Monday hosted Newtown parent Mark Mattioli, whose son was tragically gunned down at Sandy Hook Elementary, to discuss the ongoing gun control debate. The interview became so overwhelmingly emotional at one point that Mattioli broke down in tears while Kelly struggled to keep it together.

The grieving father explained that he is “broken” and “devastated” by his son’s death. However, gun control is not the solution, he said.

I watched the interview yesterday (oddly I actually had the TV on and tuned to FOX). This gentleman, of all the parents involved, has now gotten all my sympathy and respect. The other parents who flew with king hussein on AF-1, no longer worthy of respect since they are being used as pawns in king husseins political games. Useful idiots. And they are being USED!

while hteirl oss is horrible, their anger and energies are WASTED goign after stricter gun controls for LAW ABIDING CITIZENS- they shoudl; be SUING Connecticyut for NOT protecting their kids since our local govenrment feel parents should be mandated to attend their public schools- THEY FAILED- Conn FAILED- NOT the law abiding citizens- Where the hell were the metl decetors i nthe school? Where the hell were the armed guards to protect the children? Where the hell were the mental health professionals who should have caught his pathetic carcasss BEFORE he went berzerk?

BS! IF it was for the kids- He woudl do somethign about PROECTING them where they NEED protecting- in the ‘gun free zones’ that the states have creaTED which put ALL ou kids in danger- This is ALL ABOUT his legacy and has absolutely NOTHIN G to do with protecting hte children

Sadlty though he has whipped them into a frenzy over guns and htey WWILL get their way because the left has branded the right as haters and unwilling to ‘do what it takes to protect the children’ (DESPITE THE FACT that this will do absoltuely NOTHING to help the kids)

Misplaced liberal views of liberty prevented Nancy Lanza from getting proper help for her son.

Misplaced liberal views of liberty prevented the warnings given by James Holmes' therapist from being acted upon.

Misplaced liberal views of liberty prevented authorities from taking the appropriate measures to keep Jerod Loughner from buying guns.

Now liberals are pushing straight ahead still with their misplaced views of liberty to infringe on the rights of law abiding Americans while doing nothing whatsoever to deal with the mentally ill for their sake and for the safety of us all. It is difficult not to come to the conclusion that the liberal mentality is itself a mental illness that invariably chooses to restrict the liberties of the sane while protecting the liberties of the insane.
