Liberalism is a mental disease.
Gender discrimination and religious discrimination. Would this be allowed in the US?
I am trying to be openminded about this but as we hear over and over ad nauseun times change
and if a Christian religion can be forced to go against its tenet to pay for abortions which is everyone agree more serious that women swimming
then the muslims can come into the 21st century and change their so called idicts from allah and treat women like they are human and equal
Toronto is the (non-Hispanic) minority capital of North America.
Although whites are the true minority now.
That excuse doesn't work since this is a girls' swim class, not a women's swim class. If they are trying to play the muslim card then they need to have a muslim only class. He should demand that as her father, his religion demands she be chaperoned by an adult male relative at all times... uh, oops, hmm, isn't that what muslim women have to abide with, too?

And, oh by the way, my core belief is that you are subhuman, you need to pay a special tax, cannot be allowed to go to school, drive a care, have a job, go out in public, or speak unless spoken too.

This is classic liberal good cop bad cop.
Bad cop trashes your rights. Good cop comes along and says victim of trashed rights has fair point, I would hope we would not be so inflexible - then does absolutely nothing to change victim keeping getting his rights trashed.
It’s all lip service so they can be on record appearing to be fair but never intending to ever take any actions to change their policies.
Funny how Christians get rolled over on their religious reasons but they sure as hell bend over backwards for every other religion’s “religious reasons”.
Have a separate women’s only or muslims’ only class then.
Can’t use common sense because if they used common sense they couldn’t find a solution that sticks it to Christians.
Bet there would be no accommodation for Orthodox Jews or Christians.
Isn’t Toronto the place with the school that made little girls who were menstruating sit in the back of the class during Muslim prayer time because they were “unclean?”
Of course this is Canada, so maybe the muzzies do have the right to prevent other people from watching their children swim.

The world is quickly separating into those who are willing to make demands, and those who are not.
This is where the father needs to show up and say, “To hell with all that—it’s my DAUGHTER and I will watch her if I choose.”
Enough of capitulating to these fascists.
I don’t know if it’s apples and oranges, but the comments here sound like just the opposite of the comments on the story about the family on the airplane that complained about the movie. I guess in the airplane case, it’s ok to have a few moonbats dictate what movie all the other passengers could watch.
‘I can’t watch the swim practice with my daughter? You can go tell her to get her clothes on, as she’s not participating in this program, and you can go fetch the refund for the fees for this program.’
That’s it. Why do people feel the need to accommodate the dictates of city officials? You stand up, walk away, and tell your friends, notify the press, put pressure on the program to change. But you sure as heck don’t bring your daughter for a second time.
And trust me, if parents take a stand, the program goes away, as these programs need a certain level of participation to continue.
Never, ever, ever let any government official separate you from your children, for any reason, in any circumstances, without your legal representative present. That goes for instances like this, travels through an airport, etc. If the press the issue, state clearly that you are more than willing to comply with their wishes just as soon as your lawyer can arrive, as you abjectly refuse to surrender any of your parental rights without legal consultation.
When will this happen here?
If Orthodox Jews had asked for something like this it would have been denied - establishment of religion.
But let the bearded savages ask for something and everybody bows down and gives it to them.
You have the right to be there to be sure your daughter is OK. Kids have drowned in public pools! Takes only a minute and your kid is gone! The parent will keep a constant watch on HIS child, as nobody else can or should!
My reply? I see. Since you can’t guarantee that someone will be watching over her every second, I’m taking her out of the group. Oh, and what are you afraid of? Everyone knows that that group is peaceloving, kind and tolerant and would never chop your head off for refusing one of their demands.
Who cares if a lot of dads are unhappy, one girl who debased herself to slavery in the hands of Islam is appeased this week. Wonder what they will demand next week?
Just have the muslim kids wear a chadour when they swim. A lead chadour.
