Kipling had the right of it, didn't he? In more recent times, an odd bit of wisdom form The Watchmen:

"The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No.""

"They had a choice, all of them. They could have followed in the footsteps of good men like my father or President Truman. Decent men who believed in a day's work for a day's pay. Instead they followed the droppings of lechers and communists and didn't realize that the trail led over a precipice until it was too late. Don't tell me they didn't have a choice."

"Now the whole world stands on the brink, staring down into bloody Hell, all those liberals and intellectuals and smooth-talkers... and all of a sudden nobody can think of anything to say."
Rorschach – from The Watchmen

There really is nothing left to say to our enemies, is there?

I took an oath to protect and defend The Constitution, I don’t figure that means just talking about it.

>> You have a responsibility to target the ‘leadership’ from which the orders come and the infrastructure that support them.

I imagine in many cities that our local police will be on our side of the fight. Perhaps not in uniform but I do expect they will provide us support. They don't want to become targets either.

Are you willing to die to take my guns?

I think the article's concluding question needs a tweak:

Are you willing to die trying to take my guns?

I’ll second that.

If they come to get your guns, odds are very good you will die.

The important thing is to kill and/or seriously disable enough of them that the survivors pause to reflect afterwards “Is this really worth it?”.

They cannot win a war of attrition.

Got it?

Just one word - "No".

Also from Kipling:

Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.

"Why not be the first to fight to keep your firearms? Pray that another 10,000 or 10 million will join in with your example of patriotism."

because it would be counter productive. An individual rebel would be craftily demonized and labeled Terrorist, so any lonewolf effort would be counterproductive and entirely innefective.

However,a force of about 25 militia armed like the "North Hollywood shooters" could get the attention of congress and the executive branch by completly eliminating them from existence with extreme predjudice, but they would still be dubbed "evil terrorists"

it would take a large well rooted and and well understood organization with clearly defined goals and established doctrine and a system plan to replace the corrupted government to have any positive effect at all. All else would be more destructive than helpful. It could probably only be done at this point with at least one branch of the military fully joining in.

with out a plan to replace the corrupted government it would only establish chaos to be filled by more tyranny.

signing petitions, joining impotent organizations and bending the deaf ears of politicians is entirely futile. The only prescription that will purge this virus is extreme violence

How many ever gun 'owners' there might be is a secondary issue ~ rather, it's how many ever people have access to weaponry that's the controlling factor in the use of arms.

That's gotta' be up near 300,000,000.

Used to ride share with another fellow to and from highschool. He was here because both his parents had been members of the Hungarian politboro and then one day they decided they didn't want Russians hanging around.

If you're old enough you remember the films about Hungarian patriots taking out tanks with molotov cocktails ~ gasoline in a bottle with a rag for a wick.

Keep your Bic lighters handy.

Oh, and anything else you can get your hands on. Might jot down the home addresses of the cops as you encounter them for whatever reason ~ they don't always 'go over to the people' as fast as we would like.

And it has been difficult lately to get ammo. There are obviously more reasons than just government buying up hundreds of millions of rounds, but it is funny that legislatively bullet taxes, ammo taxes, ammo licenses, ammo bans, classifying ammo as explosives, etc. have all been talked about or attempted by liberals in government.

You can bet your farm that if they come for your guns they won’t start on the south side of Chicago where it seems a large portion of killing is taking place.

Don’t comply. Avoid the fight if I can. If a family member is harmed....well...perps have to sleep sometime.

“except it is more like a duty, in my opinion.”

The founders agree with you.

From the Declaration of Independence... “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”

Duty is a LARGE word.

I particularly enjoyed this section...

If I were the only person in America who believed in the 2nd amendment, I would still be within my rights to call upon it. You would all think I was insane and possibly celebrate if I was gunned down, but in the end I would be the only true American among us.
