It's official: Americans love their conspiracy theories. Public Policy Polling asked voters to weigh in on 20 more infamous ones, and the results show that a not-insignificant number of people believe that President Obama is the anti-Christ (13%), Big Foot exists (14%), and the planet is secretly ruled by the New World Order (28%; 4% think our societies are actually ruled by "lizard people"). Among the other results:

I believe. I really do.
When inexplicable things happen our brains try to explain it. It’s how we are wired.
65% believe we can lower the deficit by spending more money.
And because of media malpractice more people than ever don’t trust the news so they have good justification for thinking that the news is ran by anti-human lizard people.
“37% think global warming is a hoax”
This is sad, because it has been PROVEN to be a hoax.
It’s a shame to see global warming (a REAL hoax) in that list of otherwise ridiculous baloney!

3) CIA killed JFK because he was going to pull advisers out of Vietnam
4) Pope is anti-christ
5) Yoko broke up Beatles
6) RFK knocked up and then knocked off Marilyn Monroe
7) Art Bell and his hollow earth belief
8) Chem-trails
9) Moon landings staged
10) UNLV was paid to take a dive against Duke in 1991 Final Four
8)
Hah! Ever been to France?
11) Nixon conspired with the Viet Cong to prolong the war to increase his chance of winning.
Well, if not a hoax, then just terribly bad science, and propaganda.
That percentage should be much higher.

I always felt the Birchers could have gotten more traction with the American public if they would have stopped referring to Communistic activity in the country as a conspiracy and called what it really was atleast by the time they came around(1958).......a full blown movement. “Conspiracy” is a term that automatically puts you in a hole that you have to explain your way out of. In my opinion, anyone with rudimentary political science knowledge could see the Democrat party of America has been since probably FDR or earlier nothing more than the western proxy for the global communist MOVEMENT.
After reading this book, you'll probably never watch a professional sporting event in quite the same way:
I KNEW it.
My theory was that since Wash told Yu that if he walked a batter, he would be taken out, even though he still had a no-hitter, that he threw it over the middle of the plate, just so at least he wouldn’t walk any batters.
Sure, prove we're not ruled by lizard people.
Yeah...that works.
