Just curious. Has anyone tried acupuncture? Any success?
Yep. Had an accident at work a couple of years ago. Two disc bulges between L 4-5 and L 5-6. Did weeks of physio with no results. They recommended accupuncture. Amazing. It doesn’t cure the problem but it did give me considerable pain relief. I’m now a firm believer.
When you first read the book, what he says might sound like very new age hokum. Please keep an open mind.
I first heard about this Doctor on the Howard Stern radio show. He was a patient of the Doctor. Swears he changed his life and cured his life long back pain.
I told him "you don't stick sharp things into me, and I will return the favor".
GR, if I didn’t hit a nerve, I wouldn’t have felt a ping.:-)
It’s just talk. So go find your big boy pants ok?
Dude, please. If you want to get acupuncture, eat organic food, and recycle your fondue silverware, no skin off my back. The world needs ditch diggers too.
I tried everything for a blown out disc because I got hurt on the job and workmen’s comp wouldn’t get me to a professional until I hit each and every shaman on their list. A year later with 24/7 cramp in my right quadriceps and a leg filled with charcoal embers I got to see a neurosurgeon who promptly operated. Back to work 7 weeks later and been working for two years since. Permanent damage due to having disc pressure on a nerve for a year includes no feeling in my leg below the knee on the dermis and 5 o’clock pain. But bearable pain that becomes something like an old friend you hope not to see but he always shows up. LOL They tell me that I am a member of the 1% who returned to work with the damage I had. I told them if they weren’t morons I could have returned to work much sooner and still be able to know when my grandkids are messing with me by writing on my dead leg without me knowing it.:-} To my neuro guy. Thanks Doc!
