I loved Gus Triandos and all his fellow Orioles of that era. I used to listen to all their night games on the radio by my bed and rooted for them hard and unsuccessfully until 1966 when they embarrassed the Dodgers. Chuck Thompson on WBAL. Sponsored by EssKay Quality Meats, Gino’s Pizza, Phillies cigars and probably others I have forgotten.
Even though I have never lived in or near Baltimore and really have no particular use for the place, I was an Oriole fan for many years. I remember the night Jim Gentile hit grand slams in two consecutive innings. Has that been done since?
RIP, Gus.

Rest in Peace, Gus Triandos!

Where are the survivors of the massacre at Benghazi? The silence of the Obama Regime on this question is deafening!

As a kid watching the Phillies I enjoyed his brief stay. He caught Jim Bunning's perfect game on Father's Day in 1964 against the Mets.

I believe they were the first pitcher/catcher combination to achieve perfect games in both leagues (although not as batterymates).
