The arrests came the morning after 17-year-old De'Marquise Elkins' first court appearance on murder charges in connection with the fatal shooting of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago. Santiago was in a stroller on a walk with his mother, Sherry West, in the coastal town of Brunswick on Thursday when the shooting occurred. West was also shot.

“race” does not cause crime
a culture of condoning criminal behavior does.
Freepers ought not to be dragging the Feds into matters that are best handled by the States.
I understand what you mean, I used to live in the Space Coast area. I saw the writing on the wall in the early 2000’s and planned my way out of there in 2009. Unfortunately the housing market crashed to delay things, but that’s a different topic.
When I first moved there in the Early 80’s there were still dirt road and most of the paved ones were two lane. Population was very low and the people were extraordinarily easy to get along with.
Fast forward to the mid 2000’s. Four or even six lane secondary roads. The nearest Walmart was three miles away and took 20 minutes to get to because of traffic. People everywhere and the ‘immigrant’ population was quickly becoming the majority.
Of interest though there was a LOT of self-segregation. American Blacks lived in there neighborhoods and the Haitian Blacks lived in theirs. Mexicans were pretty much the same but had a lot of advanced settlers spreading around.
The only common melting pot was the schools as far as I could see. And the quality kept getting worse and worse there too. Too many kids crammed into Campuses. Heck my local elementary school had more kids than the entire school system does here in my county I reside in now.
But getting back to “Shark Eyes”, I was starting to see that more and more before I left. I sometimes thought that it was a result of too many people penned up in too small a space for them. Perhaps they came to see all of the people around them as ‘objects’ rather than living breathing people with feelings.
In any case, it’s a dangerous thing to be around. And what makes it worse is the attitudes of the Politicians and Law Enforcement. They have to deal with the “bad” element more than most and they have the natural inclination to disarm them so that they will feel safer when they have to go calling on them. Because frankly, they want to go home to their families at the end of the shift.
But to disarm them they have to disarm everyone else because it isn’t “fair” to pick on the “Shark Eyed” people only. And we all know what that leads to now don’t we? That’s right, a baby getting killed in it’s stroller just because....
THANKS!
"Police in Georgia say an anonymous tip helped them make arrests of the teen suspects. The Brunswick Police Department said it got a tip that someone was crouched in the backseat of a vehicle as it drove away from the shooting Thursday. The Glynn County detective's division spent hours following up on the tip and eventually arrested the 15-year-old suspect. The boy's statements led them to Elkins, according to police."
Interesting. Wonder if the car was there before the murder...
Gee, the pictures look like Obambi’s wife . . . no . . . wait . . . they’re better looking . . . (barf)
I hope baby-momma rots in hell
Are you kiddin'? They buy Father's Day cards by the box!
I can deal with the lies.
It's when he tells the truth that scares me.
The idiot sock-puppet in our White House has been told by his handlers to steer clear . . . perps are his sons . . . victim is a cracker . . . nothing to see here . . . move on
A Govt dedicated/based on voodoo. Cerially.
I moved from a quiet, rural, farming community because there wasn’t any jobs here. Transferred to north of Miami for a full time job with benefits. That’s what Americans do, right? I see people from all sorts of life here, from depths of poverty to riches I can only dream of.
Heard on the new Rick Sanchez (yes, the Libertarian from CNN that was fired from CNN) radio show a few weeks ago about an African American woman who was racist against another “African American” but truly was a Haitian American her ‘little chocolate boy’ and a caller came in. He was a black generational man who married a Haitian woman and gave the true account of the ‘racism’ of American black people toward Haitian black people. He, even as a Cuban American (and he will define himself as American with Cuban roots much as I will define myself as American by love my Irish roots) stunned.
That was such an interesting topic because I see how the ‘been here fah years’ black people treat those who go to Creole language. I SEE IT. The look! Damn, should have finished that anthropological degree and then I could have that degree... and be looking for work. ;)
I guess you never saw the picture of the little boy scrambling toward the crowd of fine young baby-daddies with a Father’s Day card.......it is hilarious....
Gah, you are right... does make me fear upsetting the Haitian voodoos...
He, even as a Cuban American (and he will define himself as American with Cuban roots much as I will define myself as American by love my Irish roots) stunned.
...what does this sentence mean???
It means he hates the “birthplace of parents” slash “American” meaning...
I love that I am Irish by roots, love the traditions, even some of my Scottish roots play in there, when it comes to my personal family.
He was born in Cuba, but came here as a child. He identifies as an American. He loves his “cuban roots’ as was his childhood since his parents grew up there.
The point of this is that ALL OF US, regardless of how long our generations has been here, take on the traditions of where we came from. And I agree with him. I might have lived the same number of generations of a German that came over in 1740, but my traditions are different. That is the difference.
What a theme for a Maury show . . . thousands of baby-daddies sitting on bleachers with Maury holding that yellow envelope. Can you imagine?
Maury, "Q'Rama D'Rahel Taniko Jones . . . you are NOT the father!
"Shee Mahma . . . ah' tolll you it ain' mah baybee . . . he dohnnn eben looo lah me!"
"Q'Bama Mohamad D'Smael . . . you ARE the father!"
"Sheee . . . "
Maury, "Yer gonna' step up to the plate and be a good father for him, right?"
"Sheeee!"
Main point being, we are all still Americans.
