A Bucks County man stole more than $1,000 in ammunition and gun accessories Saturday from Cabela's in Tilden Township, state police said.
Craig Holtzman, 41, of Warminster was stopped by state police on Interstate 78 in Greenwich Township at 3:18 p.m., two hours after he took the items from the store, troopers said.
Holtzman had fled Cabela's after being confronted by store security, according to troopers.
Cabela's employees gave troopers a description of the vehicle, which they pulled over near the Krumsville exit on the interstate, police said.
Inside the vehicle, the stolen items - $1,048 in ammunition and scope securement rings - were in plain view, troopers said.
Holtzman was awaiting arraignment late Saturday on charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property.

Desperate acts at my Cabelas

I was at that Cabela’s about a week ago and I didn’t think they had $1,000 worth of ammunition left to steal. The ammunition shelves were almost bare.

Right now a $1,000 worth of ammo would fit in one pocket.
I went shooting yesterday and had to dip into my reserves because I couldn't find any 9mm anywhere. I say hang 'em.

Sorry, but I have to report you to the mods as posting before your morning cup of coffee is strictly against FR posting rules. ;-)

Yes indeedy, posting before having your first morning cup of coffee is a very, very bad thing.
It is almost as bad as not having a good laugh. ;)

"Right now a $1,000 worth of ammo would fit in one pocket."What kind of ammunition are you talking about and how big are your pockets? Unless you have pockets the size of trash cans - or you're shopping for original .40-82 Green Label (or Winchest-lee Navy 6mm, or Kynoch .470 Nitro Express...), I'm sorry, but coffee or no, you are exaggerating just bit..

Not clear if they were apprehended in Greenwich Township, PA (which is about 20 minutes east of Cabelas) or Greenwhich Township, NJ (which is about an hour or so east of Cabelas).
I’m guessing the former.
But in either case, wonder where they were headed - to NJ? NY? Back home Bucks County.

Never mind - I just re-read the article. (I left my morning coffee in the other room).
I see it was Greenwich, PA. But now my question is why was it two hours later if the location is 20 minutes away?
