(Newser) Arizona's House will today debate a bill that would make it illegal to enter a public bathroom, shower, or dressing room designated for a gender not listed on your birth certificate. The bill is an apparent response to the anti-discrimination law Phoenix passed last week that would allow transgender people to use their preferred bathroom. The new bill's sponsor, Rep. John Kavanagh, says it's "unacceptable" for a man who merely "thinks of himself" as a woman to use their facilities. "If you're male, you stick to the men's room," he tells KPHO.
The bill would make using the wrong bathroom punishable by a fine of up to $2,500, AZ Family reports. The House Appropriations Committee will take up the bill today. The bill has sparked outrage from transgender activists; Equality Arizona released a statement yesterday calling it "a disgusting invasion of privacy," one that could make criminals of women who duck into men's bathrooms to avoid long lines, the Arizona Daily Sun reports. (Kavanagh says police will "use discretion" in those circumstances.) Laurie Roberts at the Arizona Republic decries the bill as ridiculous. "Forget about showing your birth certificate to vote," she writes. "You soon may need to tote the thing around in order to use the bathroom."

Of course this mere piece of common sense will cause a major furor among the freaks and lefties(or is that redundant?)
But... What about the janitors?
So basically a pop tart is still a pop tart even if you mutilate it into the shape of a gun.
What women duck into men’s rooms simply because the line at the women’s restroom is long?
“that would allow transgender people to use their preferred bathroom. “
What could go wrong? A gay transgender guy might like to hang out in the “Boy’s Room.”
I don’t want to share a public restroom with a tranny.
I know a Make Up artists who caters to Guy Trannys. She said the biggest misconception is that they all Gay.
A common occurance when there are 50 women waiting to use three stalls and there is an empty men’s room.
Good. I’ll be the first to saythey should be institutionalized.
OK. I’m a woman and have never done that. I guess I’m weird.
Of course it will, the degenerates want the opportunity to corrupt and rape your children, and make it legal to do so.
In what Wonderland world is such a law even considered necessary?
Exactly.
If I absolutely, positively had to go and the Ladies’ room line was a mile long I would run into the men’s bathroom and run right back out. This would only be an issue at a Tampa Bay Lightning game at the St. Pete Times Forum.
If there were any men in there I’d let them know I really need to go and that I’d be really quick about it.
Normally I don’t have to go so badly that I’m about to wet myself. That’s only happened once and I didn’t go into the men’s bathroom.
There’s really no reason for a woman to go into the men’s room unless she has to go REALLY bad and is about to have an accident.
I’m glad I haven’t found myself in that position!
I thought the purpose of the Phoenix ordinance was to make TG people feel better about themselves, not giving women a leg up on the bathroom lines?
1) This is a good proposed law, thought it’s sad that common sense has to be enforce like that.
2) I predict it’ll be legally challenged by a leftist as soon as it’s signed. No bets taken on that.
If there were any men in there Id let them know I really need to go and that Id be really quick about it.
Most men would figure you’re a better looking crosser than most. LOL
