So... your idiot kid does stupid things wqhewn he is growing up and you beat his ass (I know I would)

Then what?

CPS comes and charges you with child abuse, the kid learns he can do anything and the government will ensure there is no consequences.

So.. he does “gallon spashing”... Possibly the stupidest new ‘prank’ i have ever heard of, because he has no clue what level of idiocy he can get aw2ay with, and the finally have to arrest him.

Go into his room, smash a gallon of milk against the ground or wall and tell him to deal with it.

You basically summed it up.

My Grandmother would have said “take them to the field and horsewhip them” for doing such a stupid thing.

Now they are only arrested.

As a very young kid (4th grade) I got caught shoplifting some candy from the local store.

I wish they had just called the cops instead of my old man. Although it was many, many years before I would even pick up a pencil if I saw one laying on the street or playground!

Back in the 70’s, I had just washed my car and parked it on the street in front of my home. Two young boys took a fire extinguisher from a phone booth and sprayed my car.

Someone saw it and told me who they were. I did not call the police....kids do stuff like this. I called their father. He brought them down to my house, where he had them admit they did it and tell me they were sorry.

Then, he had them walk back and forth between my car and my house filling a bucket with water until they had cleaned and rinsed my car.

I’m sure they learned a lot more from this than jail or fines their parents would have had to pay; and they don’t have criminal records. They are both fine young men with families now.

This is the way we did things before the nanny government culture.

CPS comes and charges you with child abuse...

It's good to be out in the country where there is no "CPS" - - at least, none I'm aware of. If there is a CPS in the vicinity, I welcome them to meet my Rottie (if they get out of the car). Then there's the "WARNING: Homeowner will not be held responsible for hunting accidents to trespassers" sign at the top of the driveway. Trespassers usually turn around and leave.

There are better ways to discipline kids (and 15yo’s) than beating them.
