Hi Gina, wow, what a church dinner...
How are you?
Hi, Vision! All’s well here.
I hope you had a good volunteer day. I’m guessing it ended with the church dinner.
Keith’s been low-and-slow smoking a big Boston butt with a pan of apple juice all afternoon, and I added some fresh cut carrots to the pan with it a couple of hours ago.
Bing ping!
This week I was listening to a jack benny program...and there's an episoide called The Fiddler which is a funny take off of The Whistler. Check it out.
We’ll check the Benny “Whistler” out! And, that Bing was great, as usual.
It’s been cool here today, and he’s tried to keep it at 275, and it’s pecan.
Oh, man! Like heaven. He just brought it in. He had also packed brown sugar on top of it at the beginning, atop the fat layer. Yowza!
I put the carrots in too soon, and they’re mush. I’ll make another side dish to go with it, although we’ll have the mush BBQ carrots, as well. :-)
On actual checking, the carrots are fine, just a little shrunken, but they’re delicious from the apple juice and pork drippings. They’re not mushy at all.
I'm going to listen to Suspense in bed. Hope you have a good week Gina...
The ultimate pull-quote from tonight's Big Broadcast (Dimension X).
Goodnight, Vision! May God bless you this week, as always.
