From what I’ve seen in the news, Putin has never struck me as stupid.
I actually have not derived any idea of what his core beliefs are, or his goals or intentions. Just that he is a savvy politician.
I think he can easily outmaneuver Obama, and that worries me as an American.
He seems to hold his cards pretty close to his vest, whereas Obamna’s are face-up on the table for any observer. Not a very effective poker strategy.
Does anyone have a guess at to what cards Putin is holding?
For instance, if he maintains Russia’s military and diplomatic strength, while the U.S.’s wanes under Obama, and if Putin were to forge an understanding with Israel, where would that leave us?

I think he and Putin have already had a heart to heart and it is just a matter of a few more weeks or so before Obama opens the door and lets Russia invade and enslave every damn American that they can.
The weak minded will be welcomed to the Russian mass and the freedom loving of us will be hunted down and shot.
Russia forced the Ottoman Empire out of Russia just around the turn of the millennia 1900. They’ve fought the Muslims for centuries. The word slave has its origin in “Slav” or “Slavic”, as they were hunted down and captured for the Ottoman slave markets.
The demographics are horrible for Russia: the Muslim birthrate is much higher than the ethnic Russian rate, and they face a grim future because of that trend.
Russia and Israel together as allies? I don’t think so. Russia is very much atheistic whereas Israel is not. But Russia, the U.S.A. and Israel can forge an agreement to keep the Muslims contained mostly in the Middle East. Just have to bring the Europeans on board.
