I have 3 cats that never go outside...I,too, have fed feral strays...if they caught a bird, it was a stupid bird....they rarely were able to catch birds...but my dog killed a squirrel the other day, I guess that doesn’t count...
I finally figured out the feral kit-cat has been hanging out under my front porch. I decided to give it a pillow and blanket for warmth. Easier access for me to get in there was through a small cellar window. I opened the dusty old window and found myself staring at a stash of dead frozen squirrels.
This kit-cat is a prepper LOL
I was wondering what had happened to the squirrels this year. The birds apparently ignore the kit-cat since they still feed on the front porch... and they know how to fly. amazing!
I totally agree. My sister has a mouser on her farm and she kills lots of mice that try to get in the feed bins.
The feral cats I’m talking about are the ones in the wild, that live in parks and forestlands and slaughter so many songbirds.

Flushing won’t work. Gopher tunnels have multiple exits. If water comes in one hole, the gophers go out another. You’d have to turn your yard into a swamp for it to work.
As a kid, it always worked for me, that's why I mentioned it.......
