what would go good in a hot chocolate . . .

I'm actually doing some experimentation on a flavoring syrup made with coffee, chocolate, and tequila. It will be used in/with a bread pudding.

Of course, all the fun is cooked out of the tequila by the time the sauce is finished, but the flavors are very, very close to 'good, dammit'.

Bread pudding? Oh boy, one of my very favorite things. One of the best ones I’ve ever made was an Amaretto bread pudding with next being a sweet potato bread pudding with a whiskey hard sauce. Your sauce sounds very interesting ... I’m imagining how that flavor combination would taste! Ok, not the recipe thread so I’m going to stop now ......

I make a cheesecake using tequila, It is delicous, smooth and never lasts. You’re right, cooking the tequila takes all the “fun” out of it, but the flavor is G R E A T. Before coming to TX, I’d never heard of tequila, but the first taste, it and I became good friends. I use it some times when I’m cooking something sweet, raspberry and chocolate pudding plus my margarita cheese cake are some of the uses.
