I remember a few years ago making an offhand comment about picking up some lunch at KFC, to which one of my co-workers responded, “KFC is cruel to their chickens! They cut their beaks off!” Apparently she had no idea that chickens will kill and eat each other if you don’t tip their beaks.

From that day forward, I made it a point to tell her any time I was getting something to eat at “Kentucky Fried Cruelty.”
