There’s a Forester owner here in Manhattan who is a Navy veteran - he has 2 big US flags in the rear side windows and still has his Romney stickers on the bumper.
I’m not a real lover of boxer engines, but I think the Forester is a neat car.
Enjoy it!

Never wear a down vest over a flannel shirt while driving your Lesbaru, lest someone mistake you for an Indigo Girls fan.

Mrs. Slim drives a 2008 Forester, works great.

A buddy of mine loves his.
Plenty of room for all his equipment going to the gun range a couple times a week.

F yes. Before other libs start talking to you like you are one of them...like Prius drivers. You need to show them you are not brain-dead like they are.

Is it green?
Also, if you sport a buzz cut and flannel shirt-jacs, you might have womyn smiling and winking at you.
Other than that, it’s a good choice, especially in snow country.

Subaru’s are great cars.quick with acceleration and great in the snow.
Though I’m partial to the Outback.

I owned a Volvo once and put a “NOBAMA” sticker on it a few years ago. Do the same and then go to “Whole Foods” and watch the stares you get.

As a Miata owner, I can empathize. Miatas come with their own baggage, at least among people who aren’t car enthusiasts.

Good for you on purchasing the Forester. I like ‘em. They have clean classic SUV lines. Not like the slopey dowdy mommy-mobile looks of the Rav4, CRV, and the new Escape.

I own a 2011 Subaru STI. Drives like a Cheetah on dry pavement and thru the snow and does 160mph. LOVE IT!
