$3.69.9 In The Morning, $3.75.9 In The Evening
self | February 4, 2013 | knarf

Posted on 02/04/2013 3:02:08 PM PST by knarf

When we went shopping Saturday morning, we drove by a local EXXON gas station ...

TOPICS: Local News
KEYWORDS: energy; gasolineprice; gasprices
and regular was selling for $3.69.9.

After a day shopping and having a leisure day with each other, my wife and I returned around 5 or 6 PM and saw the same station advertising regular at $3.75.9.

This is the second increase in a couple of days.

Has anyone ELSE seen increaes lately ?

I notice the same thing. I walk by a Circle K to pick up my son at school and it’s going up considerably everyday now for weeks.

Only a six-cent increase? I commonly see 30-cent daily increases.

About this time last year, the price of a gallon of gas (at the same station) went up 80 cents in 13 days.

I didn’t notice the price the last time I put gas in my car. I live in Central NY State, and was listening to the radio while on my way to Walmart today. They were saying that there will definitely be an increase in the price of gas, and that 4$ per gallon or more should be expected. They cited the fact that refineries aren’t able to keep up with the demand, and that with summer approaching, the special summer gas mixture usually adds 20 cents to the cost of a gallon. Color me stupid, but I didn’t know that gas companies had to create a “summer mixture,” and have no idea what the difference is. I know different parts of the country have different mixtures because of environmental issues, but had no idea there were different mixtures for the summer.

That’s nothing. Where I live in Central KY, for the last six months on three or four occasions it’s gone up between 30 and 50 cents between my morning commute and evening commute. And virtually ALL of the stations go up the exact same amount.

It will trickle a few cents at a time for weeks, and then BAM.

Once again, you can thank the all-knowing bureaucrats at the EPA for their Regulations.

gas was $1.89 when Hussein got elected...

has been in the $3.25 PLUS, PLUS range since and he was reelected.. go figure..

guess it doesn't bother most Americans but living here in rural America where gas has remained in the $3.60 + range it hurts the small farmers, and retired poor...

I'm not going to color you stupid, but your government knows best.

Summer blends, winter blends, special blends, all mandated by the great Oz in Washington. All add billions to consumer costs for no reason other than to justify the bureaucrat's existence.

Boutique blends, don't build the Keystone, stop drilling and fracking, don't drill off the coasts, close refineries, don't drill off the north shore. This is Obama's energy policy. His energy policy is aimed at strangling supply and increasing prices. Let me know how that works out for you.

It’s after the election so of course it’s going up. Expect another jump for Spring Break and then more all summer long.

“I commonly see 30-cent daily increases.”

It does hit the pocketbook hard when the price of gas increases $109.50 in a year.

Your map is 2006, way outdated. No more MTBE.
On a related note, gas last week $3.17.
Today it is $3.38.
Central TX.
Somebody should be put in jail for that theft. I have a few likely suspects I could recommend.

How ‘bout this: 3.11 on Saturday, 3.29 today.

Aiken County, SC. FWIW, SC has one of the lowest state gas tax rates in the country.

Your being misdirected.

Ask your State and Congress critter how much they get from ‘Big Oil’

What did THEY do to get said product to the market that they believe they are entitled to these (slave) taxes?

Last question to ‘em, like your pay, is why do they get to the ‘head of the line’ before all else? Are they more important than my house? My family? My car?

You're right, it's outdated. Here's one from 2009, as you can see the disease is spreading.

Refinery make more selling overseas than local. This is why Dow Chemical is against Keystone Pipeline because they know the refined products will head overseas and not lower local cost.
