I didn’t notice the price the last time I put gas in my car. I live in Central NY State, and was listening to the radio while on my way to Walmart today. They were saying that there will definitely be an increase in the price of gas, and that 4$ per gallon or more should be expected. They cited the fact that refineries aren’t able to keep up with the demand, and that with summer approaching, the special summer gas mixture usually adds 20 cents to the cost of a gallon. Color me stupid, but I didn’t know that gas companies had to create a “summer mixture,” and have no idea what the difference is. I know different parts of the country have different mixtures because of environmental issues, but had no idea there were different mixtures for the summer.
Summer blends, winter blends, special blends, all mandated by the great Oz in Washington. All add billions to consumer costs for no reason other than to justify the bureaucrat's existence.
Boutique blends, don't build the Keystone, stop drilling and fracking, don't drill off the coasts, close refineries, don't drill off the north shore. This is Obama's energy policy. His energy policy is aimed at strangling supply and increasing prices. Let me know how that works out for you.
