Saw a clip from an unintentionally hilarious training movie.
The training film shows how the government wants teachers to respond to a crazed gunman in their school. A rather short and stocky "teacher" is shown grabbing a pair of scissors with which to protect himself and his students should a crazed NRA-member gunman attack. He is shown huddled beneath a door's window, scissors in hand. If things get even more threatening, the teacher is shown throwing himself under his desk to hide.
You can't make this stuff up.
Let me guess. The producer of this film was the grandson of the man who produced ‘Reefer Madness’.
Sounds likes a must see.
Reminds me of the old parable; something about bringing a knife to a gun fight......
Of course, if guns were outlawed we would never have to worry about that happening again. /sarc
Actually I thought that was a good advertisement for doing away with gun free zones.
At least they wer enice and safe and didn’t show the teacher running with scissors.

Such films are great, and I hope gun grabbers keep making them. They exemplify the entire problem. If I was a teacher and watched that film, my first thought would be how to change my briefcase to accommodate a concealed firearm, and absolutely where to keep it in case of an attack.
Because even a liberal teacher can do math... Gunman / scissors = teacher death.

Ah, “gun free zones”. Like every military installation? We have to go through the “Active Shooter” training scenarios every year, and not one of those scenarios shows armed military members meeting force with force in their work areas. Why? Because we apparently can’t be trusted with weapons at work. The military.

Aren’t sharp scissors allowed in school?
Forty five years ago I read a book on how to protect your family in a home invasion.
1. Have a safe room with two phone lines in case one is cut.
2. Break apart a pair of scissors and tape it to a broom handle. Guns were never mentioned.
3. I never got past the broom spear.

Scissors!!?? Seriously!!?? We are so screwed. When i am walking in unfamilier areas or long distances I use a cane. If I exit a building carrying my cane in my upheld hands, would I be in danger from the police? I wonder?
