Frankly, no. When I see pics from a friend in an exotic location, I feel like I got to go there on an armchair ride. I enjoy it. I love seeing photos of my friends’ kids and sharing mine. What I hate about FB are all the ads, the threats to privacy, etc. I love the people connection, hate FB itself for its intrusiveness.
I was dragged to FB by friends years after most of them. I have come to like seeing what is up in real time. It’s not a time waster because if I’m busy I don’t go on it. I don’t regret it and it doesn’t make me envious. I like my life.
Nah... It makes me hate cats even more...

Nope. I had an account for about a week to see what it was, and, after confirming my suspicion that it was a giant waste of time, I deleted it.

The old friend that is currently traveling in the south pacific and posting pictures is also sharing her progress with breast cancer. She has a friend caring for her dogs while she is gone. She has also posted pictures of her dogs. No one is breaking into her house while she is gone.
I use facebook to post negative articles and other nasty information about Dear Leader. I do my best to get the majority of my family and freinds to “unfriend” me, but they just hang in there. I’m very careful about posting only that information which is verifiably correct, and I explain how each report and story will directly affect them, in a personal way. Some of the younger nephews/neices have started to chime in with questions. It’s a start.

I have a couple of Fakebook friends, a pair whom I actually have met and know, unlike most of my “friends”, almost all of them in fact, who are both well-to-do independent professionals in the medical trade, and who like to travel and post cheesey pictures of themselves posing in exotic locations. They’ve been everywhere, man. I don’t ever envy them, only question their sanity,patience and tolerance of discomfort (without of course telling them that.)
