Now that pro-wrestling has changed so much no one will ever (be allowed to) hold the title for as long as Backlund did.
If someone holding the title for 6-7 years was what’s best for business, it would be allowed to happen.
If Vince saw continued buy rates, ratings and asses every 18 inches he wouldn’t care how long someone was champion.
Those were the good ol days in the WWE..now they have the CM Punk types that are just annoying as hell
