Bruce Springsteens decision to take antidepressants was colored by the fact that his father didnt or wouldnt. But it took a lot of psychotherapy for him to reach that point.
The fact that Springsteen has spoken openly about his chronic depression and other issues, and his use of medication to deal with those problems, has been welcomed by some in the fields of medicine and psychology as a breakthrough, given his popularity as a performer. Its been quite a year for Springsteen as his mental health has been written about widely .
Last July, the New Yorker magazine published a long, in-depth interview with him in which he talked about how deeply affected he had been by his fathers paralyzing depressions and how worried he became that he would be unable to escape the thread of mental ill health that ran through his family. There was also the revelation that Springsteen has been seeing a therapist since 1982.

The man made good music, but - then again - so are a lot of folks. There’s not much else he can do that is productive.
He should be chronically depressed, since he supports a cause which has never proven successful and which is populated by zombie-like drones largely incapable of doing much more than using their EBT cards.

Has he had a good album since ‘The River’?
Basically his efforts since then have generally been a mess of indecipherable mumblings.

Springsteen becomes the poster boy for those screened that should not be able to own a gun.

IMHO, any 'artist' who uses their craft to support a political candidate should have a value affixed to that support and should be subject to FEC contribution limits.

We all have problems, Bruce. You’re no more special than those who’ve bought your records & made you fabulously wealthy.

No.
“Nebraska” had a couple good songs and that was it.
After The River, he jumped the shark.

Alice Cooper says:
I call it treason against rock ‘n’ roll because rock is the antithesis of politics.
Rock should never be in bed with politics. ...
When I was a kid and my parents started talking about politics, I’d run to my room and put on the Rolling Stones as loud as I could.
So when I see all these rock stars up there talking politics, it makes me sick. ....
If you’re listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you’re a bigger moron than they are.
Why are we rock stars?
Because we’re morons.
We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.

While I feel for any child who had to grow up with a mad, abusive father, I will never give this "artist" a penny, nor will I excuse his slavish devotion to socialism.

Never mind those who go to his concerts and add to that wealth.
(Maybe it depresses him that when his fans yell “Bruuuuce” it sounds like “Boooooo”? That’s the impression I got after hearing a recording of one of his concerts.)

Thank you for the post. I was very worried about Bruce "the Boss". Now I care even less, actually nothing, about the jerk. I'm sure his life is a lot tougher than mine. Having millions of dollars would certainly screw me up somehow, wouldn't it?
