Two deaf twin brothers in Belgium were euthanized by their doctor after realizing they were going blind and would be unable to see each other ever again, their physician says.
The 45-year-old men, whose names have not been made public, were legally put to death by lethal injection at the Brussels University Hospital in Jette, on Dec. 14.
The men, who were born deaf, had a cup of coffee and said goodbye to other family members before walking into hospital room together to die, their doctor told Belgian television station RTL.

Both brothers were perfectly capable of taking a lethal dose of whatever pills they could get their hands on without dragging a doctor into it.
Why did somebody else have to do the deed? They turned suicide into murder.

Really? Neither saw they could be of any value to anyone else, ever? Who’s to say the blindness may not have been reversible down the road? Man. Makes you wonder why all those blind folks in the bible weren’t just stoned to death by others because they were obviously no worth to anyone. /sarc
What is says is those with no Faith or Courage will take the easy way out.
If they killed a few people first, they would have been spared.

There are doctors lined up all over Europe waiting for such jobs. Good reason to not get sick or hurt in Europe.
You have to wonder what kind of encouragement they got from the euthenasia crowd.
Sad that even though the Nazis were driven from Belgium so long ago, their policies towards the disabled are being willingly implemented.

Two grow men with no hope in Christ, nor family to care for them. What a sad commentary on their family values. Apparently they gathered to say goodbye though. Hum, horrible I say. Also sad.
I don’t agree with their decision, but I do believe that someone who will lose both their most important senses should have some freedom in how they continue their lives also.
(Somewhat playing devil’s advocate here, I can respect a grown man not wanting to live another 40 years being a burden on their family or society in a way also)
