It is a balmy 54 degrees today in the Florida of Iowa. Got some very much needed soaking rain yesterday. Checked the garlic/onions/shallots, none of them have heaved out, next week I might put a little straw/leaf mixture on the rows to prevent that as the weather looks to get a fair amount colder.

Just tried some of my batch of fermented vegetables, they were quite tasty. Put radishes, horseradish, potatoes, carrots, dried tomatoes, dill and coriander seed this go around, plus some ground pepper. Mmm, spicy!

Also bagged up some sprouts and starting another round tomorrow.

Starting the 1st of my plants the 20th of January. Can’t believe it’s already that time!
