It’s called the “Overton Window.” You propose something outrageous; pedophilia should be normalized. People react badly. You counter with something much less radical; homosexuals can marry and enjoy the tax and insurance benefits of families. Well, that’s SO much more reasonable that 20 years later it’s legal. Then, you go back to your previous agenda. Now it’s not nearly so radical as it was. In 20 more years it will be okay. It’s already against the “rules” to criticize pedophilia in Afghanistan. Next, it will be legal here. (I knew an Arab, who, 20 years ago, married a 12 year old in “Palestine” and brought her to America as his wife. Nobody said anything at emigration and he didn’t hide what he did. By the time I met her she was 18 and a mother six times already.)
