Like the Gators beating the Buckeyes in the football and basketball championships in the same year?Yep, just like that. At BCS, Ohio State ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown and I started with the Dandy Don "Turn out the lights . . ." Next thing I know, those nice midwest plowboys were being man-handled by a bunch of getto toughies who were called Gators. Men versus boys ALL YEAR LONG!!!

Roll Tide Roll. Alabama has one thing going for it that can’t be measured. The need to up hold the honor of the Tide. When people talk about rabid fans here and there, they just don’t know what rabid is. I think it is because for so long all this state had that we could really be proud of was Alabama football.

Bama by a lot. ND had so many close calls against mediocre to bad opponents.

If Notre Dame even dreams of beating Alabama, they better wake up and apologize.
ROLL TIDE !

Absolute hype. Notre Dame is like the Cowboys. People who know nothing about football or sports in general know who they are, since they’ve been well marketed. It is surprising that they’ve gotten here, and as such has been a good story. But that says absolutely nothing about how the game will turn out.

Jesus doesn't care who wins football games, but hopefully, His Mother does. :)

Now you have our championship winning coach. Maybe you’ll get payback on us someday.

Awesome game.Earlier that season the Longhorns traveled to Columbus to play a close game against my Buckeyes squad. Big win for Texas, and a heat breaker for the Buckeyes.Vince Young, A.J. Hawk match up was fun to watch.

I really don’t have a dog in this hunt.
But, all the really stupid, derisive stereotyping directed at Alabama fans and alums knocked me off the fence. Those are my people, maybe not from Alabama but much the same.
Roll Tide.

Razzle-dazzle? What’s that, like shock and awe? Maybe then Bama will hit them back with insurgency and improvised explosive offense.

I don’t wanna argue for this game in particular, nor sports in general, but it is important to invest yourself in the outcome of unimportant things occasionally. Play is good for the soul, and it doesn’t work unless you at least pretend to care, if not trick yourself into actually caring.

I liked the 1984 BC-Miami game.
