Raed Innab, 46, charged with second-degree murder for the Aug. 21, 1984 stabbing death of 32-year-old Darwish Ali Darwish

New York State police are crediting forensic technological advancements and sticktoitiveness for solving a murder investigation after 28 years this week.

Troopers arrested Raed Innab, 46, and charged him with second-degree murder for the Aug. 21, 1984 stabbing death of 32-year-old Darwish Ali Darwish, who had been convicted of killing the suspect’s uncle.

Both men were from Brooklyn. Darwish was found suffering from stab wounds along Hecksher State Parkway in East Islip and later died at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

Darwish, a married and the father of three children, had just been released after serving a 7-year prison term for first-degree manslaughter in the death of Carl Innab.

Darwish was free on bail following his arrest by U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service officials on an illegal residency charge shortly after his release from prison.

Authorities had been received an anonymous telephone call warning that Darwish would be killed by a member of Innab’s family before Darwish was convicted in 1976, according to a report in The New York Times from the time.

Investigators ask anyone who may have information regarding this investigation to contact the New York State Police Major Crimes Unit at 631-756-3390.

Big leap of faith (sic); the ROP folks killing each other in this country since at least 1984. Uh, when are we going to stop allowing them entry here?

Interesting logic. I’m sure Christians killed each other before 1984? Does that justify kicking Christians out of the U.S.?

Nick, the ROP has a belief that murder is a matter for private resolution.

Many of them seem to be unable to get beyond that belief. They should either be executed or kicked back to their homelands with a price on their head if they leave.

Oh, I don’t know about logic, however we have enough problems with the folks here who don’t get along, but it kind of makes more problems when you allow entry of folks whose religion tells them it’s ok to kill Jews, Christians, etc. uh, anybody who isn’t their particular brand of mohammedanism. Well, I suppose historically we didn’t let nazis or communists in by the boatload either given they felt that capitalist republics that weren’t run by either the proletariat or Aryans were acceptable. As for kicking Christians out of the United States, hell yeah, if they’re here on visas or some other such temporary resident document, and they disobey the laws, yes deport them immediately, not several years later waiting for hearing after hearing. Now of course, if they’re here illegally, like half of Latin America, that’s ok, as long as they vote democrat, capiche?
