An alternate source for viewing is the original Ustream feed here:
http://www.ustream.tv/SouthwestFloridaEagleCam
Both feeds are identical but this one contains chat boards which are informative and provide up-to-date status as to the movement of the adults and the progress of their two eggs/chicks.
At the time of this posting, one egg has fully hatched and the chick can be seen wiggling about.. I believe the other egg has not fully hatched yet.
Fascinating to watch these American Bald Eagles! Prayers for their success!
I love watching over forty of them soar in the air near my workplace.
I time my smoke breaks to see them.
It looks like Mom or Dad has two fish to feed them when they wake up.
Well shoot! It looks like we just missed seeing the second egg hatch! It just hatched a short time ago.
There’s another eagles nest cam in Iowa that I watched last year. By the time these young ‘uns fledge, things should be cranking up at the Iowa nest. http://sportsmansparadiseonline.com/Decorah_Bald_Eagle_Nest.html
The cam is apparently running now because I could hear the highway sounds, but it’s dark. Once the eagles come back, they’ll have it lit up at night, like the FL cam.
Kool!
Congrats to Florida on their eagle population!
Washington state almost lost one of their finest when that dumb cluck landed in the road chasing road kill only about 100 feet in front of me. He barely got airborne by the time I got to the spot...
Awesome and addictive!
