Who was favored to win this game? Seen this before plenty of times...mostly college sports, but seen it happen in the pros as well. High stakes gamblers take no chances and the easiest way to disable a team is to set up and falsely charge at least two valuable players with rape.
This is what happened to the Duke lacrosse players but they had a wild hair of an idiot, political prosecutor out to do serious damage and he blew it out of control.
I have often wondered why no one ever checks out the gambling angle in ANY of these cases. And there are plenty.
