Police say BGE Glen Burnie substation blew; power out in much of Annapolis. Multiple small fires at downed wires in area. Annapolis mall is dark-reports of looting. Large power outage leaves customers in the dark from Crownsville to Annapolis.

The wind has been blowing harder than usual around Houston since last night. It’s a “blue norther” blowing through. Haven’t heard of any damage.

Hope it was just the transformers at the substation that blew, they should have a stock of replacements available.
Sounds like there could have been more damage though.
