A Your co-workers. Drivers cannot use that lane -- which is a wide bicycle lane -- except to make a right turn within 200 feet of an intersection, or to park or turn into a driveway.

I hardly visit San Jose, though mainly because I don't live or work that close to it, and I rarely have other reasons to go there. Maybe this is more reason not to. "Progressivism" at work!

What do you locals say about local traffic, governance, and spending?

We have a lot of bike lanes here in Jacksonville (bike size lanes), but there are a fair number of cyclists. What really snarls traffic are the rubberneckers.
