Thanks to Mamadearest for this one!

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. (multiple votes using multiple internetz devices are allowed!) And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

Bring all our troops home from the middle east and let the ragheads fight it out amongst themselves. Enough is enough.

The Middle East is cesspool of long term frictions and quick sand that we need to stay out of, and I include Israel too. Let them all have their little crappy piece of the world, but we need to stay out their business totally. All it gets us is dead servicemen, more debt, more 9-11 and more endless WOT.

It could become an emergency if we RAN OUT OF POPCORN.

I hope they stretch out well, crack their knuckles and kill each other off like flies.

I hope it goes on for months. For years.

This is not a sudden event. USA has been preparing Patriot sites there for some time, including radar sites. It seems sudden to us but it’s the end of a long thread of preparation.

The whole damned region with the exception of Israel isn't worth the sweat off of a single American’s toes. Islam has poisoned the culture for eternity.

Turkey is part of NATO. An attack on any NATO member requires a response by NATO. We're part of NATO.

It can be viewed as a treaty obligation.

Turkey has taken many bad turns in recent years, but they are still a member of NATO and we’ve had troops in Turkey for decades at Incirlik Air Base and some in other areas.

So, having US troops in Turkehy is nothing unusual, though they might have a different mission in this case.
