A quiet William Shatner was getting irritated by the incredibly annoying antics of Richard Simmons when he posed a simple question that just shattered poor widdle Richie.

Have to go with the Shat on this one. I'm sure he's a liberal, but Richard Simmons was so over the top ridiculous, Bill's reaction was quite reasonable.
If some trekkie came up to him and hugged him and made goo-goo eyes at him, he'd probably not like that, either.

I’m not getting this. What did Shattner say, it sounded like: “Is that what you think straight guys do?” Played it several times.

Shatner may be vapid and shallow, but he's not stupid, and he's rich as Croesus.

I don’t get Simmons’ reaction.
It seems to me that he was making fun of straight guys in his reading of the newspaper, and when the Captain asked him about it, he got all bitchy and stormed away.
It appears that he can dish it out but can’t take it.

I’ve long known that Shatner is gay.

Hahaha...I will give him credit there, Shatner’s facial expressions were hilarious. There were a few that seemed like a pissed off frog caricature!
One of my favorite comedies is “Galaxy Quest”...:)
And I loved Star Trek as a kid during the sixties and early seventies. So over the top, but so much fun to watch. Sadly, when I see George Takei, it doesn’t seem as fun and goofy.

How about Shatner reading the excerpts from Going Rogue and then Sarah Palin coming out and giving it right back to him?
