Indeed. Thanks for all your hard work. I don't mind the multi-pings, as I'm getting them all over the place these days. FR has some weird code issues that Jim and John are apparently having a lot of trouble chasing down. However, given that the last freepathon went on for as long as it did, just to keep the lights on, I don't see how much time they can devote to it.
Your GGG pings have given me a heck of a lot of food for thought, and enlightenment over the years. I wish people wouldn't whine so much about what is essentially trivial stuff, but that's par these days, and has probably always been the case.I can certainly understand your not wanting the additional agrivation.
Thanks again for all the effort you've put into the GGG and other pings you run. I'm quite sure that the vast majority of that 800+ folks appreciate your dedication, and will miss it when it's gone.

I recommend adding the godsgravesglyph keyword to your ping screen, so you’ll see them as they pop up. The screen looks a little daunting, but basically, you pick a number for the order of the listing (iow, GGG would appear right below, say, Front and Breaking News) and a second number for the number of topics to show (I think I’ve got mine set to two, maybe three, in order to catch new ones I didn’t add myself, or added somewhere else and had not pinged).

The screen is handy in general for rearranging stuff into a mo’ better order, things you may wish to add, group together differently, shift around to the top, etc. I was thrilled when it was pointed out to me a few years back. :’)

I want one. The electrical wiring in my house has gone kaput, and we - meaning young nephew and myself - are considering going without electricity so as to save up for rewiring.
Since I’ve been prepping and have about 600 lbs. of charcoal, I think we could do it. Take our showers at the YMCA, do laundry at a laundry mat and do dishes the old fashioned way in a tub of warm soapy water. Already possess a burr grinder for coffee beans and two enclosed grills for cooking.
We’re not doing this for fun. We simply cannot afford to rewire an entire house at this time.

Thanks, Civ, for all you’ve done. I love reading about all things historical, particularly stuff that challenges accepted theories. And I must say as the political news has gotten more and more depressing in recent years, GGG has been a pleasant refuge. Good luck in “retirement”!
