The liberals probably should be worried about Jeb Bush, because he was an excellent governor of Florida and left the state in great shape when he departed. He’s an engaging person and a good speaker and very conservative, and he had a lot of appeal to everyone of any ethnic group.

His big problem, in my opinion, is his age: he is the product of a time when every candidate had to get the imprimatur (approval) of some strange, hostile, liberal GOP central command...and remember, they didn’t like Reagan, either.

I think there were too many times when Jeb stayed within the limits that they dictated, but on the whole, he’s much bolder than his brother. GWB had great instincts and did many good things, but he constantly let himself get talked out of the follow up or taking credit, and never defended the many good things that he did.

So if Jeb presents himself, take a look at him. If nothing else, this encourages us to get a line-up of possibles before convention eve, 2014...we need to decide on a slate of candidates within the next year.

He might be one, and there should certainly be others. So get behind somebody who is at least floating his or her name.

The only reason Romney got the nomination was that he had been running since 2008 and did nothing but spend his money and time on trying to get it. Santorum had also spent a year running in Iowa, which is why he won it.

So we have got to look at different candidates now and get a selection of possibles. In my opinion, Jeb Bush is a possible. And then we choose.

GW Bush was demonized by the Press from the get-go after the exceedingly close election in 2000 (fraught with fraud by the Dems back then). I was in Florida and didn’t vote for him because he was big govt.compassionate conservative, which translates into just another Lib - both he and Gore were so unappealing. Little did I know that Florida would be the show-down state.

The Bushes are all part of the Bigger Globalist Machine and should be avoided at all cost. If the Repubs don’t do what the Dems did and start embracing the Right wing and ignore the moderates, then we are screwed forever. Definitely need to start working on a 3rd Party - I liked what Virgil Goode said, now to find someone who can say it so enough will listen.

Conservative???LOL yea, tell me another outright lie. The Bush's are rabid Statists to their core.

I will NEVER cast a vote for another Bush for as long as I live. America doesn't need dynasties or another member of the arrogant political class.

I would be so disgusted with the GOP-e if this pig is nominated that I may do something I have yet to do -- pull the vote for a RAT.

The Bush's big government programs and non-restraint of domestic government spending gave rise to the Clintons and the Marxist Obamsa.

H*ll NO to any Bush!!!!!

I read an interesting interview with James Carville in the latest edition of Rolling Stone. He might be the enemy but he's no idiot. He articulated that come 2016, it'll be the Democrats who "fall in line" with whatever candidate the party offers. Republicans will only need to field a candidate who's electable in a general election. Doesn't have to be the most conservative guy on the block. Simply "electable" will fit the bill. Jeb Bush was the guy Carville was thinking about.
