Maybe I need to start carrying a pack of cigarettes with me as an attractant when I go hunting.

Sounds like the buck had a nicotine addiction.

I feel for the deer. Quitting smoking was the hardest thing I ever did in my life.

There are reasons for approaching a wild animal, but “it seemed friendly” is not one of them. Venison would be the only sensible explanation for this behavior, and trying to kill the buck using lung cancer is not as efficient as using firearms or even archery.

When was the last time you could get cigarettes for a buck?

Thank you. I'll be here all week. Be sure to tip your waitress well.

Our small dog was attacked by a doe a few months ago in our backyard while I was out there in the yard.
(went out to call the dog after hearing a ruckus)
The doe had a few fawns on the other side of the hog wire fence yelling their heads off and I got there just in time to see the doe come after the dog, trounced it and was turning to come back for a 2nd strike and I yelled and dog and I ran. The doe followed us for a ways and then stopped and snorted. Then left. The dog was unhurt, but a nervous wreck for hours.

A spokesdeer for the Socialist Ruminents of America (SRA) said that humans should voluntarily share their cigarettes with less fortunate wildlife, and the entire incident was caused by homo sapien greed.

The guy was a target until he tried to get his cigarettes back. Then he was an idiot.

Those two guys don’t sound like typical Texans. Maybe they moved there from California, driven out by taxes.

I thought they had better sense in Texas to approach a buck—especially in rut season. I would expect this in California or Massachusetts, but not Texas.

Maybe I should start taping cigarettes to trees leading to my deer stand...and hang a pack from a string—in sure bow range.

I actually rescued a little fawn last year briefly wandering in the road falling down everywhere and running into stuff with that eye crap they get that their mom has to lick off constantly

we had it in the car...it had relaxed and I called around and nobody would take it

all these PC animal rescue nazis only want puppies and kittens or maybe an abused pony

so we went back and tried to scope it's herd and get it bleating to attract the mom

we could see the herd about 200 yards away across a field by the treeline and left it there bleating

i was worried about it...coyotes woulda heard that too and made it short life for that little girl

my boys got a animal world can be cruel lesson that nite

and for you namby pambies here...if i had left it in that sunken road (Wilson Pike...in Williamson county tn..to anyone who knows that road here) it woulda surely gotten run over...some stupid girl texting woulda run right over it

Rose approached the deer and he says the deer seemed friendly.

The deer climbed into the pickup? It was Stu The Stupid Deer......

“Yeah....I’ve seen a lot of my deer buddies riding around in pickups, so I thought I’d see what the big deal is. They mostly seem to be sleeping in the back, though.”
