Great job by Texas A&M!

As a Bama gal, I will always cheer for Bama first, but due to my love for Coach Stallings, I tend to cheer for A&M as well. Manziel did a great job. Bama was out coached, and I look forward to many more great games in the SEC due to the addition of A&M. Great competition is great for the entire league. RTR

Scuttlebutt Gene Chizik is gone. How he couldn’t capitalize after Cam is unimaginable. That comes from deep within...

Son #1 didn’t even go to the game today.

Unbelievable how bad some SEC teams are this year. Of course you expect Kentucky to stink, but Arkansas, Tennessee and Auburn? You know it’s a down year in the SEC, when Vanderbilt is probably the 5th best team in the conference.

And even the Gators needed a miracle to win today against the Ragin Cajuns.

Looks like the SEC Title string is over.

I think Charlie Strong is your next head coach....he’s a good.

Oregon is the most overated team in the country. They play in a very weak Pac 12 conference

Really? Heading into today's play, Oregon was ranked #3 in the BCS rankings, Oregon State was at #11, Stanford was at #14, UCLA was at #18, and USC was at #19. So 5 of the top 19 teams in the BCS rankings are Pac-12 teams. It doesn't look like a "very weak" Pac-12 conference to me.

Aggies will rule the SEC in a few years...they will now start to get the top Texas recruits that used to go to the Longhorns..

That Swope guy was a beast.

I served with his dad in the TX National Guard for years. He really is a good kid.

He chose the Aggies over Oregon and Stanford.

Not completely accurate. Once Oregon recruited both Manziel and Marcus Mariota signed with with Oregon. Once Mariota committed to Oregon, Chip Kelly told Manziel that one of them would not be a starter at Oregon and that Manziel might want to consider another school because they are both that good.

Not saying Maziel is or is not better than Mariota; they are both great.

Oregon is clearly the best team in the country. No one can stay with them.

I live in Texas now; love Texas A&M and hate UT. Now that A&M is in the SEC, most of the best Texas high school players will choose A&M over Texas.

And if he’s drafted in the NFL all he’ll ever do is run kickoffs back. He will never play guarterback. Too small.
Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s great, but look at Tim Tebow, he’s twice as big, taller, can run like hell and makes things happen.............and no team wants him.

You may be right. But, a good kick return guy probably makes a $1,000,000 +/- per year. Beats sitting in front of a PC or doing retail, etc. I bet even utility guys such as kick returners get hot chicks :)

That’s what I said when they moved to the SEC, that A&M would dominate recruiting in the state. I see an NC within the next four years for A&M.

Oregon is clearly the best team in the country.

A team that gives up 50 points in a game?!?!? I think people in Manhattan, Kansas would have a differing opinion.

Any team that can only score 23 against TCU doesn’tve much room to talk.

USC is very talented on offense and Oregon defensive backs underestimated their receivers on a few plays. Those mistakes won’t happen again.

Alabama lucked out by losing. If they had problems with the pace of A&M’s offense they would get blown out by Oregon.

Was Klein 100% for that game?

I am pushing for my kids to attend A&M

It is a great school besides having a great team. Good conservative values. Great education. Great people.

Of course, I may be a little biased. My son is Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '16. (Gator 2 fish).

I'm FTACo '86. My dad is FTACo '59. His dad was FTACo '39. And his dad got his Masters there in '23.

So my completely biased opinion is that your kids could not find a better place.
