The above examples are meant to show that this election was winnable, but we had bad luck (Sandy), bad 'supporters' (Christie), bad candidates (worst I've ever seen for the Senate, in those two guys), a very bad closing (pre-vent defense), and some total IDIOTS (ORCA).

So I'll repeat again - yes, I know the next 4 years will bite (please don't attack me on that) - but NO it's not over yet, for us - we have not yet lost America.

We wouldn’t be in this situation if McRino hadn’t pimped for hussein in ‘08 and if we still had a two party system.

BREAKING: St. Lucie County, Florida Had 141.1% Turnout; Obama Won County
http://www.ihatethemedia.com/breaking-st-lucie-county-florida-had-1411-turnout-obama-won-county

Between St. Lucie and Broward Counties, we have a pretty good idea what happened in Florida. Normal voting is what, 50% turnout? It doesn’t take many counties like this to affect an entire state by multiple percentage points.

All of these numbers between 99% (Pennsylvania) and 141.1% (Florida) turnout in dozens of counties in swing states makes me think Team Obama was panicking a lot just before the election, with Mitt up by 7% in certain early voting polls. They overcompensated so much the fraud is impossible to hide. I think they know it, which may be one reason Axelrod is stepping down. (Sound familiar Petraeus and Benghazi?)

As I told someone earlier today, this is who Obama is. This is who Chicago (the machine) is. Do we really want this to be who America is? Is this how we will define our elections from 2008 on? As Mitt says, “America can do better.” We must do better. We can’t let the message be out there that America will let this fraud go.

Want to do something about all of this? Tiffany Banks and Darin Southam forwarded me a list of people you can contact who are in the November 9, 2012 3:12 PM comment below.

Did you know voters can request a recount in certain states? (Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Wisconsin!) Take a look at the comment by @RightonMainSt dated November 9, 2012 11:45 PM below for instructions! Mitt will have to ask in Colorado himself. (Yes, you Mitt!)

It has also been suggested that we ask Republican Secretaries of State NOT to certify the election until all questions about voter fraud are abated. Some people think this may provoke a crisis, but it can’t be worse than the one we are looking at for the next four years and the impact on generations to come! America NEEDS Mitt, and Mitt won fair and square. This was not a ballot stuffing competition but an election. Let’s make sure it’s counted that way!

Thank you all. Over 7,500 people have visited this page in the first 24 hours and I hope millions will see it eventually. Please pass it on! We can do this! (Yes we can!)

A very easy answer to the abortion question regarding forcible rape is to simply say something like "It's not the baby's fault, and that's just how I feel - next question". If Akin had simply said that, him and 10 others would be taking over the Senate. But the damage, obviously, spilled over to Romney, as it got women thinking about something other than the economy.

Another good way to handle it is as follows. Just say two things, and nothing else:

1. Rape is a crime and the perpetrator should be punished.

2. Abortion should only be considered if the life of the mother is unquestionably threatened by continuing the pregnancy.

Then call for the next question. Say no more. Shut your big mouth. The first answer frames the question properly and places the responsibility on the perpetrator, where it should be. The second sums up your position without injecting concepts like "legitimate rape", a magic uterus, or God's will, things that the media will twist and conflate and utterly destroy you with, and of course the average voter, not being very smart, will buy it.

This was not about Obama. This was not about Romney. This was not about Republican or Democrat.

In 2008 we got to find out who Obama was. In 2012 we got to find out who the American people are.

This is about the electorate.

1. Simply don’t know.
2. I believe would have actually helped Romney if it hit in the right area. It hit in an area that was largely irrelevant to the GOP.
3. No. Had nothing to do with it. Chris Christie did what he needed to do for his State. Be that as it may, I do not support Chris Christie for 2016.
4. I didn’t believe the polls either and I had a built in 5% Obama deficit. I guess the Bradley or Dinkins affect doesn’t exist after all.
5. I believe the election was winnable, just not by Romney as I think Romney ran a near tactical perfect campaign.
6. Disagree. It’s really really tough to go head to head on foreign policy against a sitting President. Romney did perfect on debate #3.
7. Rush is great, but I don’t take him for more than he is, a political entertainer.
8. Bingo, Bingo, Bingo. We have a winner here. Stupid candidates sabotaging their own campaigns and muddling the message of Romney.
9. #8 dragged the Senate down along with Romney. The house stayed the same because house seats represent districts and as the red/blue map shows us, there are more red districts than blue.
10. I don’t think fraud really works at the presidential level in general, maybe if it’s close. This wasn’t close. Most fraud is for state and local elections.

#8 is the winner.

Branding, and the MSM. Romney wasn’t the perfect candidate. But no one will be. Look Romney was soft on abortion and it still didn’t matter. We are still being branded as sexist old white guys.

We have got to fix our brand or at least contradict the way it’s being potrayed and we need to do that effectively. And we haven’t.

We need a powerful movement headed by someone like Deniis Prager and we need our own news channel. Fox sure isn’t it. Hell, I even hate O’Reilly and Hannity and I agree with them! But I just can’t stomach them and the wife can’t either.

Good analysis of the failure. I agree with every point.

8) Why can't the GOP coach their candidates on how to answer controversial questions? They don't have to use the democratic approach - lie, but there is such a thing as tact.

"Do you think a woman should be forced to endure a pregnancy caused by rape?"

"Oh gee, I never thought about this before. But since the unborn child is innocent, I guess so"I can't conceive of a time when that would be the law of the land.

Is that sooo difficult? Does that compromise his precious socon credentials? If you want to make a better world, first you have to win elections.

yes, THIS election was winnable, but future ones won’t be. Obama will make citizens (Democratic voters) out of millions of illegal aliens, and register them in swing states, and that will be the end of the story.

The big likely things I see here are:

* The abject failure of ORCA.
* Romney’s decision to take the high road in the last debate rather than taking it to Obama (although the latter might not have worked, either)
* Christie
* Todd Akin
* Campaign strategy based on a misinterpretation of the polls

First of all it is not us that lost. It was America and founding principles that lost. Everyone and not just those in this country will suffer as a result. I think it is better to be in the group that knows what happened than those who celebrate another four years of 0bammunism.

I think it is crazy to think that the press couldn’t have found something to demonize either Newt, Rick, Herb, Michelle, the other Rick or anyone else for that matter.

Reality doesn’t matter as much as press coverage. Look at Clinton’s career after Monica or Teddy’s career after Chappaquiddick.

Then you have stats out there like more voters even here in Colorado than populations of counties. 0bama won the Mormon vote. 0bama won the Cuban vote. Yeah, right.

I am reminded of the recent Venezuelan election where Chavez would turn out a few hundred, and his Latin male model opponent would have turn out in the hundreds of thousands. Yet when the Ministry of the Interior counted the votes Chavez won somewhere close to 63%.

Actually, here’s another perspective:

http://www.businessinsider.com/nate-silver-and-the-end-of-ex-post-facto-excuses-2012-11

We never really had a chance.

And that doesn’t mean the country’s lost. It more likely means: 1) The party in power almost always win a second term. 2) People vote for incumbents. 3) There were a lot of people for whom Obama was too black to fail.
