SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (CBS) New Jersey governor Chris Christie lashed out at the media during a news conference Friday afternoon over careless reporting in the aftermath of Sandy.
After being asked a question about a price gouging lawsuit concerning Bergen County, the governor began his answer by saying, I want to be clear on this because you guys are starting to really misreport things. We were not part of the lawsuit.
Christie then referenced an article that was posted by a business news institution earlier in the week claiming the governor called the President to congratulate him and only emailed Romney.
Bloomberg had some incredibly careless reporting yesterday, saying that I called the president yesterday to congratulate him on his victory absolutely careless, awful reporting, said Christie. Listen guys, people take the stuff you write seriously and I try to speak with real precision behind this microphone. So dont report that I called the president when I didnt; the president called me.
Christie set the record straight saying President Obama calls him every day and at the start of the call in question he did congratulated him and moved on to discuss the situation at hand.

FUCC.
Christie allowed himself to be used as a prop. I used to have some respect for him, but he is now dead to me.

You and my Powell are our most faithful Republicans.
For your loyalty, I will provide you with all the dogs you can eat.
Well, as much disdain as I have for the gleeful Obama suck up... in THIS situation with Sandy and snow storm, yes. They should talk daily.
Hey Fat boy,
Go climb back up obammys ass.
He’s just a Rino...
No, people believe the reporting as long as there is an element of obvious truth to the story...
We all saw you with your nose up Obozo’s butt...
Buh bye, CC
Shut up, Fatboy!
WTH? Personally, I think he is setting Christie up for a fall to Cory Booker. Although, from scanning the internet--many dems in NJ will now gladly vote for Christie.
Shut up fat slob. You did your damage. Just shut up.
Christie stepped in something and he is desperate to try to get it off his shoe. That stuff sticks like glue.
Stop whining fat boy. Besides, Christie is just one cheeseburger away from a heart attack. And if they choose to breitbart him no one will be the least suspicious.
He’s certainly attempting to build himself up in a provincial sort of way.
Reacting to national news reports with blinders on, as if it’s all a state matter and only responding with an eye toward maintaining Jersey cred is what he’s trying to do.
I don’t see him remaining governor after all this, he’s out with the next election, imho, but he’s still trying to push all the buttons and pull all the levers. Trouble is, doing that is destroying any viability he may have had as far as national office.
It’s just as well, since he can’t seem to envision anything beyond his geographically small but crowded and largely Democrat turf.
Christie IS the Republican Party. Liberal.
Wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see Republican Nomination for the President of the United States 2016, Chris Christie. Seriously, who in God’s Name thought Radical Liberal Mitt Romney was going to be the 2012 presidential nominee in 2009? This is a nightmare and the Republicans will nominate the most radical liberal Republican they can possibly get and the FREEPERS will eat it up. Romney was praised so much on Free Republic that I swear I thought he was up for the role of Pope.
Is this the photo just before they swapped tongues????????????????
“you guys (MSM) are starting to really misreport things.”
Starting? STARTING?!! Where has this boy been for the last 20 years? Oh, yeah; Hometown Buffet probably.
And Hussein calls him every day? Probably to arrange for dinner, movie, red roses, and (CC’s personal fave) the big box of assorted Fannie Farmer chocolates. Sheesh, guys; get a room.
I want to be clear on this because you guys are starting to really misreport things.
I never thunk it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A 450+ pound guy who attended 100 (!) springstein concerts cries after being called by the has-been singer. Something is “queer” about this fatso.
The dude is morbidly obese!
Hey, Kris Krispy, don’t go away mad, just go away..
Oh, Where is your Obama now???
Has anyone else noticed that Springsteen now looks like a muppet or a South Park Character.
What’s the old saying, by sixty you end up with the face you deserve?
“Do all governors speak with Obama everyday? He sounds like he is chummy with Obama.”
I guess when your state is underwater, your primary source of revenue for funding state operations may be gone for years and the major thorofare for shipping has been severely disrupted, speaking with the only person who can help is not such a bad thing.
Screw him. Egomaniac ....it’s all about him.
Do the governors of NY & CT talk to the president every day as well?
Lay down with dogs, rise up with fleas. You.are.done.
If you can’t believe Benedict Judas Christie, who can you believe.
I think Ann Coulter just has a fat man fetish.
Christie ain’t gonna make it, he’s a massive coronary waiting to happen.
Yep, he is being set up. And Booker will win because of the race thing and the fact that Christie has lost many followers.
Hey Christy....”Shut up Meg”
Christie and Crist - the new poster boys for the RNC and front running aspirants for 2016.
He is most definitely not dead to the media. Watch for him to be touted for 2016 by the whores in the 5th column.
I hate the Democrat Party with a passion but I will cheer the election of Governor Booker next year.
“Do all governors speak with Obama everyday? He sounds like he is chummy with Obama.”
Some Conservatives make idiotic questions/statements sometime, expecting someone, like a governor, to use every offical act as governor as an opportunity for political partisanship, instead of just doing their job.
So, in response to your idiotic question: Do all governors have an ongoing disaster resonse effort going on which they are attempting to operate with very good local, state and federal cooperation?
full disclosure - I live in New Jersey and I’m no Christie fan. Yet, just because he is not Conservative enough for me, I don’t need to make political mountains out of molehills, nor do I think he would be more Conservative or more effective as Governor if he channeled Conservative partisanship between himself and others in government at every opportunity for no other reason than to be partisan. That’s not good government, nor is it what a statesman like Ronald Reagan would have done, as he did not do, when he was a Governor.
I will attack every Christie policy, legislative goal or official act that I don’t think is a good Conservative approach. I have no need to pretend non-partisan behavior in his performance of intergovernmental relations is a failure because it does not “oppose” Obama, in actions where he and Obama are doing no more than what I would expect any governor and President to be doing under the circumstances.
attack Christie on substance, when there is substance, and get off of this silly stuff driven by idiot pundits trying to make a media name for themselves
