A friend told me last night that one of her azaleas has a few blooms .... seems to be a little ‘mixed up’!
It got up to 63 degrees today which is good considering the angle of the sun these days and We still have Snapdragons and Larkspur blooming. I cut up another pumpkin for my wife to steam and make pulp which she will freeze. I use a Sawzall for the cutting but don’t try this in the kitchen. I got the remainder of this years garlic separated into the freezer in Zip-Lok baggies to preserve them until next years gets dug. There is still a lot of cleanup to do but I have run out of gas mentally speaking.
I am blown away by Mother Nature this late fall as I just discovered 2 of my Bearded Iris that I cut back in late Sept are budding out!!!!
That’s pretty cool! I love iris - one of my favorites. It was 74 yesterday after an Indian Summer sort of weekend as well. We got rain last night & today and much cooler temps along with it. The cold today was damp ... the kind that goes through your clothes to your bones and wraps itself around them .... brrrr. The geraniums in the front pots are strangely still green and blooming, but I think the rest of this week might do them in.
