I can’t raise my prices. I’ve had to drop prices close to 30% in the past four years. If I stayed up the customer would do it themselves and I’m all out of a gig.

People who have already made money back in the good years, have everything paid for, and a retirement fund can ‘Go Galt’ easily. Rest of us are stuck in this economy.

My company that I work for is closing down locations now that Obama won.. My hubby was told yesterday to expect a drop in his business since 2 main companies are cutting back. This is Obamaville coming.

Now that President Obama has been reelected, my CPA estimates my expenses will increase by 10% due to fees, taxes and hidden costs (EPA) inmposed by Mr. Obama's administration. Accordingly, my prices have been increased by a similar amount.

Should the increased prices result in fewer sales, I'll have no choice but to start laying off employees, something I DO NOT want to do.

I can understand why and I am sympathetic. My position now is that any discretionary bill I have (DirectV, Landline, Alarm service, lawn service, etc.) if ANY one of them goes up a penny, I CANCEL straight away. And my one word response as to why will be “Obama”.

You are lucky you are in a market and business that can do that. I have to find ways to cut costs or increase the client base.. don't have the luxury to raise prices my competition is to tough...
