Right now I'm working on three hours of sleep so I may not be thinking clearly, but I'm curious as to what fellow Freepers are thinking when it comes to buying a new ride from one of the Big Three AKA the UAW.

Only Ford and then only something not made by union labor in the US unless I had no choice.

I have no f**ks to give any union worker who draws a pension after the way they have demonized my 401k retirement investment savings as “filthy” wealth.

And that goes double for government workers including politicians who draw their money from taxpayers.

This assumes I’ll ever get enough savings to buy a car. However, I’ll NEVER buy an “American” car. The quality isn’t there, and I won’t support crony capitalism.

I say this with a heavy heart because my dad was GM’s #1 fan for most of his life. Even he recently got a Toyota.

I’ll say yes, but most critical buy a car made in America.

From whomever.

Do not support imports.

taking a more firm dislike for all that pertains to state requirements of ownership, insurance, licensing, and now tracking what is done in an automobile. like so many things in life, the car is a great tool and source of enjoyment at times, but by no means essential. i'd sooner use my thumb as a dipstick in michael moore's behind than purchase a union made car.

If I do, it will be a Ford. Chrysler is now a foreign nameplate, and I never want to see the inside of another GM dealership.

All I’ve ever owned is a Chevy pickup, The one I drive now is a 2006.
All I’ve every purchased for my business, is a Chevy pickup.

2006, was my last purchase. Never Again.

Absolutely not. Even Ford employs UAW members. Let them sell their crap to Bulgaria.

Are there any motor companies who employ American workers but who didn’t get any scratch from the American taxpayer?
